From old timepieces
This model was inspired by Parmigiani’s restoration of old timepieces, and added the functions of the two places to the watch. The old timepiece repaired at the time was a pocket watch, equipped with two movements, each of which was responsible for a time zone. Michel Parmigiani came up with the idea to control two time zones with the same movement, so in 2010 Tonda Hémisphère was launched. The new model launched by Parmigiani this year has an elegant and exquisite temperament, demonstrating the long-lasting beauty.

The 18K rose gold case has a diameter of 42.8 mm and is polished on the side with a unique knurled bezel. The knurled bezel is inspired by the structure of the Doric column and is very iconic and recognizable for the TORIC series.
The lugs have a certain degree of curvature, which fits the wrist better when worn, improving the wearing comfort.
The crown at 2 and 4 o’clock, with the brand logo engraved on it. The crown at 2 o’clock can be adjusted separately for the second time zone with an accuracy of minutes. The main crown at 4 o’clock is used to wind the movement and set the time for the two paired time zones. It is also used to set the date.
The dark gray case is decorated with hand-engraved patterns. This process is completed by hand. The dial is engraved with repeating decorative patterns and has the same effect as the scale-like layout on the pine cone. The 12 o’clock position is the second time zone time display and is associated with the day and night display window next to it.
At 6 o’clock, there is a main time zone day and night indicator. Two different time zones are equipped with day and night display windows to quickly read the local time in different time zones. The lower edge of the dial is also equipped with a semi-circular retrograde date display. When the hour hand indicating the date reaches the end, it will return. You can feel the jump and passing of time between your wrists.
The watch is paired with a brown leather strap, decorated with natural cracks, which is quite elegant and gentlemanly, with an 18K rose gold folding buckle.
The movement is equipped with a PF317 movement, equipped with two barrels connected in series, which can provide a power reserve of 50 hours when fully wound. The movement is decorated with ‘Geneva Ripples’ and chamfered bridges, which can be appreciated by flipping over the case back. The carved 18K rose gold rotor is also unique.
