That night, Hublot and industry elites gathered at the Jianfu Palace in the Beijing Palace Museum to witness the birth of the awards for artists of the year, young artists of the year and annual art publications. This year’s ceremony also added the ‘Curator of the Year’ award, which can record more professional and more contemporary characteristics in the development of contemporary art in China.

It has been 12 years since AAC Art China’s annual influence selection. Compared with AAC’s previous review direction, the theme of this year’s selection ‘Facing the Changing World’ emphasizes the rapid development of diversity in this era and a more objective review of the status and achievements of contemporary art. AAC Art China emphasizes independent values and artistic propositions, which coincides with the subversive traditional thinking mode advocated by Hublot. Hublot Loves Art has always been committed to promoting the development of contemporary art, integrating western watchmaking spirit with the prosperity of oriental art, and has become a model for cross-border cooperation in the watch industry and the art field. Through bold innovation, the art’s expression forms are continuously enriched, which fully demonstrates the brand philosophy of ‘integrated art’. In the era of turbulence and innovation in Chinese contemporary art, Hublot’s help has given it more and more opportunities to speak on international platforms.
The collision between Hublot and Chinese contemporary art originated in 2014. The large public art installation work ‘Eternal Life-Hourglass’ created by Hublot and Chinese famous contemporary artist Xu Zhen was permanently displayed in the 798 Art District of China’s Vanguard Art Heights. And this precious artistic complex has continued to this day. Since 2016, it has collaborated with ART021 Shanghai 21st Contemporary Art Expo for three consecutive years. In early 2017, it cooperated with international visual artist Chen Man to release Hublot x Chen Man collaboration watch. By 2018, jointly with the first ArtChengdu and JINGART Beijing Art Fair, the Hublot Love Art exhibition will be held in the Beijing Quanyechang. Hublot has always been passionate about art.
