Panarai Launches Luminor Marina 42mm And 44mm Stainless Steel Watches

Panerai has launched a new stainless steel model for LuminorMarina, and offers two sizes of 42 mm and 44 mm. The new LuminorMarina watch features a new silver dial with a unique vertical stripe matte finish and large numerals and hour markers coated with Luminous fluorescent materials. The small seconds at 9 o’clock has blue hands, reminiscent of the sea, an element that has deep roots in the history of the brand.

The case is made of a highly corrosion-resistant alloy, AISI316L stainless steel, with a classic Panerai design. The winding mechanism of the winding crown is clearly legible. The stainless steel bracelet is completely integrated with the case, and the shape of the links is reminiscent of the crown bridge, and the links are harmonious (without using any screws). The wrist is flexible and comfortable, full of sporty atmosphere, the details are quite refined, and the polishing and frosting are retouched alternately.

Through the sapphire crystal on the case back, you can admire the built-in P.9010 movement. This is an automatic movement with a two-way oscillating weight and a full string that provides three days of power reserve. This movement has a stop-and-balance mechanism, which is convenient for synchronizing the watch and mechanism, and quickly adjusts the hour hand, no matter it moves forward or backward, it will not interfere with the operation of the minute hand. This feature is very useful when setting the time or changing the time zone, and it can also be used to easily adjust the date.

The new LuminorMarina is available in 42 mm (PAM00977) and 44 mm (PAM00978) diameters and is waterproof to 10 bar (100 m) and 30 bar (300 m) respectively. It is reported that the 42mm version is priced at 59,900 yuan, and the 44mm version is priced at 60,600 yuan. (Photo / text watch home Xu Chaoyang)

Captain Jack’s Sextant Watch Big Navigation Era’s Navigator

Hundreds of years ago, in the era of great sailing full of glory and dreams, great navigators used sextants to go farther and wider oceans and create miracles of discovering new continents one after another. Today, Captain Jack, who has an unruly heart on the screen, wears a wristwatch that uses this basic nautical instrument in his design-a six-pointer, to create a sea and sky with people who yearn for the ocean.

The sextant, which seems to be a simple machine and structure, can measure latitude by observing the height of the celestial body and the angle of the target, and has taken human beings farther into the ocean. The birth of the sextant is a leap in the manufacture of human machine tools. Its principle was originally proposed by Isaac Newton, but it was not until 1757 that Captain John W. Campbell clamped the measurement of the sextant. The angle increased to 120 degrees and developed into a sextant. The invention and development of this instrument run through almost the entire era of great navigation. This simple design is still widely used in navigation and aviation to determine the observer’s own position.

Captain Jack’s Choice-A Six Point Instrument Paying Tribute to the Age of Great Navigation

Hollywood superstar Johnny Depp has played the role of Captain Jack since 2003 and has easily swept over the world’s more than 3 billion US box office through an unprecedented witty gesture. Rather than the ridiculous myths that fascinate people, it is better to say that it was once a vast sky. The era of great sailing has inspired the fairy tale-like imagination of human beings. King JUVENIA first published the six-point meter in the 1940s, and launched a retro version more than 50 years later. At that time, it became the darling of Johnny Depp’s wrist. He twice wore the six-point meter and appeared on the world’s leading men’s magazine. Esquire (gentleman), who became the cover character, shows that he has a soft spot for the six-point instrument. The simple design of the six-point instrument captures his uninhibited heart. The precise marks and scales not only repeat the legend of human machine tool manufacturing, but also record the ambition and pride of the sea and sky.

In 2012, JUVENIA once again launched a new version of Sextant.3 for the six-point instrument, paying tribute to the blue sea and the era of glory and dreams. JUVENIA uses a sextant to the dial design. The simple white dial is set with a ‘semi-circular scale arc’ to display hours, rose gold hands to display minutes, and ‘compass’ hands to display seconds; a window display at three o’clock date.

The diameter of the 18k rose gold case has been increased from 34mm to 40mm, making it more suitable for men. The case back has a transparent sapphire crystal caseback, which makes the movement clear at a glance. This design embodies the temperament of Zunhuang JUVENIA’s restrained, unobtrusive and independent nature.
